Sombrasol provides community and visitor management tools for homeowner associations and residential communities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, used to create and secure your account. You can sign in with email and password, or with Google, GitHub, or Apple.
- Community data you enter. Information you add to manage your community, such as residents, units, visitors, passes, announcements, events, and related records.
- Check-in data. When you scan a visitor pass or a driver's license at check-in, the camera reads the barcode/QR code to capture the visitor details for that community. The scanned image is processed on the device only to read the code and is not uploaded or stored.
How we use information
We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, manage your community, and record visitor activity. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Camera
The camera is used only to scan barcodes and QR codes at check-in. Images are read on the device to extract the code and are not stored or transmitted.
Data retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app: tap your avatar, then Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your account information and associated data. You may also contact us at support@sombrasol.tech to request deletion.
